London Life: Day 22

Today was quite the day! It was the first day of our travel week and we woke up at 5am, ready to head to the train station to go to Bath and Stonehenge. We got to the train station and went to the window to get our tickets and the lady told us it was 87 pounds.....we had checked the night before and it was 30 pounds. We asked if she meant round trip or for four people and she said no! So we stepped to the side and decided we were not going to pay that. We decided that we would just do Bath and stonehenge another day during travel week. So at this point it was about 6:45am and since we were already there, we decided to walk over to Buckingham Palace and say "Hello" to the queen. We got there and it was empty! We were the only ones there and it is usually packed. It was raining, but we were all being positive and looking for the silver-lining. There was probably some big reason we didn't get to go to Bath and Stonehenge that day. We were all super tired and were being so silly in front of the palace. It was so much fun! We decided our theme song of the day was "Always Alright" by Alabama Shakes. No matter what happens, it's always alright!

^^^Such a good song! (some language)

^^^"What if Prince Harry is in there?!"

^^^Photo bombed by a crazy man! The people you meet at 7am...

After Buckingham Palace, we headed back to the flat to replan this Bath/Stonehenge trip. We got home and decided to do a bus tour for this trip. It was cheaper and would be so much easier. I am excited. I love bus tours. We decided on Thursday to try for the Bath/Stonehenge trip again! Once we were done, it was time for a nap and that was exactly what we did: took a nice long nap. We woke up, ate lunch, and headed to Leicester Square to get tickets for "Jersey Boys" for that night. We went to the theater and a couple other places to try and find the best deal and decided the theater's student rate was the best. We got stall seats, row K for only 27.50pounds! Great deal if you ask me. Then we headed to Oxford Circus to go to this sweet vintage shop I found. On the way we stopped at M&S so McKenzie could get some sweet socks. I might have to go back and get some for myself. We walked by this adorable department store called Liberty. I want to go back and actually go in it. We got to the vintage shop called Beyond Retro and I was in heaven. So many awesome clothes! I ended up getting some freaking amazing high waisted jeans that I had been wanting forever. I'm so excited about these jeans. We might have to return to this store again to look at more things.

When we finished shopping, we headed home and ate dinner and then headed to the show. I was so excited about "Jersey Boys" because it is one of my favorites! The music is so incredible and so fun to listen to. You can't help but sing along and dance in your seat. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons were such talented guys and I love hearing their story. It is such a fun show, but also has its moments that pull at your heart strings. I also saw this show in Atlanta and love it even more after seeing it in London! It also doesn't hurt that many of the actors are quite attractive like Bob Gaudio and Nikki. Words don't describe my love for this show.

Here are some of my favorite songs from the show:

Seriously, just go buy the whole soundtrack. Every song is perfection!

After the show, we headed home. I wanted to stage door, but we have to be up early for Cambridge in the morning. I still can't believe I'm in London experiencing the things I am. I am so grateful for all these opportunities! Living up every second.
