Days are starting to go by so quickly here! I don't like it. I can't believe it's already Friday. I'm doing so many amazing things, though. Today, we woke early and headed to the Tower of London. If I am going to be honest, I had no idea it was castle looking, prison buildings. I thought the Tower of London were the two towers on the bridge. It's pretty embarrassing that I thought that so please don't make fun of me haha. We got to the tower of London and were the first to arrive. We headed in and walked along the top of the wall and went into different towers that prisoners were hels. We also went to the Regiment Museum, The Crown Jewels, and the White Tower. The Regiment Museum had all the different metals the regiment can earn and history on the regiment. In the Crown Jewels Museum, we got to see all the different crowns and fancy royalty things from throughout history. My favorite was the Queen Victoria crown because she is my favorite. In the White Tower, we went into this one museum that had different armor stuf and gifts from around the world. It also had the chapel that the monarch would use while at the Tower of London. A lot of historical people sat in this chapel. We did a little tour of the white chapel and got to see torture devices they used back then. It was so interesting to see so many historical things and learn so much!

After the Tower of London, we headed to Leicester Square to get tickets for "Merrily We Roll Along." We got there and got the tickets. We got 10 pound day of tickets that were front row! Greatest deal EVER. We looked at the movie theater tickets and they are more expensive than the Merrily tickets. There is a problem there. We headed back to the flat, ate lunch, and hung out and relaxed for a while. We have decided that we will take on the Spain tradition of napping in the middle of the day everyday. After, we headed to to Sainsbury for a little grocery shopping and returned to the flat. We then decided to go and get dinner at this burger place called Byrons that everyone had been raving about. I got a strawberry shake and a cheese burger. It was really good, but made me miss America a bit. The nicest thing about it was that it was right across the street from the Tube Station, so we left the restaurant and headed straight to West End for our show.
We got to the theater and headed right in to our front row seats. "Merrily We Roll Along" was so great! The story goes backwards, so it starts at the end of the story and then goes back to the beginning. Its like a story in reverse. It's a completely new way of telling a story. I loved it! I wasn't sure how I was feeling about it at intermission, but by the end I really liked it. One of the only downs of it, though, was that one of my favorite songs in the show was not performed very well. It's called Not a Day Goes By and the girl that performed it bawled her eyes out through the whole thing and we didn't really get to hear how gorgeous the music was. I'm not saying see shouldn't have had any emotion, but I wish she would have controlled it a little. I guess what I am saying is I would have interpreted the song and delivery of the song differently if I was playing that role which I would love to one day! I was a little skeptical about Frank, but I ended up really loving him by the end. Mary and Charlie were definitely my favorite, though. The show was so well done and I really enjoyed it!
On the way home, McKenzie and I had a pretty in depth conversation about the show and theater in general. It was really great! I love being with theater people all the time because it allows me to always talk about something I really love and care about. We are back now and I am exhausted so goodnight!
