Today, we woke up, got ready, and headed over to the church building for class. We talked about Othello and other interesting things that I can't really remember at the moment. (Sorry, it's late) After class, we headed back to the flat and ate some lunch. I had this delicious tortellini that I found at Sainsbury, our favorite Supermarket. We knew we were going to have avery early morning Saturday so we decided that we needed to go to bed early so no show that night. Instead, we went to the Tate Modern Art Museum! It was interesting to say the least. One of those museums that the artwork really makes no sense unless you look at it in this really different way. Some of it was actually really cool, but most of it was just not my cup of tea. We had a lot of fun, regardless. Here are many pictures that we took on this awesome museum.
^^^T is for Tessa! This is Tessa's Modern Art pose.
^^^Ali was just lovin' the lights
^^^This picture is a reference to The Women in Black
^^^Words do not describe my love for this picture!
^^^ I let her take a redeeming picture even though I think the above one is amazing!
^^^We had no idea those people were standing there. Such an amazing photo bomb!
^^^ We all tried to take pictures of the hot guys. He thought I was taking a picture of the painting so he was moving out of the way and I snapped this beauty :) I win!
^^^Artistic poses in front of the art!
^^^Another hot guy and Ali's face is priceless!
^^^Yes, it is a painting of just the color gray, but I love this picture of Tessa anyway!
^^^Staring contest!
^^^Sweeney Todd art!
^^^ I love maroon!
^^^vvv I actually really love these two paintings.
After our fun at the museum, we headed to the Borough Market which was next door. We looked at the delicious food again and Mckenzie and I even got some goat milk ice cream. I got salted carmel ice cream with a little raspberry and chili on top. So yummy! With ice cream in hand we hurried down to the Tube so we could make it back in time to meet with our Stake President. We were 15 minutes late, but thankfully the stake president was running late too. We went up to the flat with the rest of the group and waited around for a bit until we found out he was not coming. It was only 5:30 so we decided to take a trip to Harrod's to see their Great Gatsby display. This store was ridiculous. I felt like straight up rubbish walking around this store. I did not touch a single article of clothing or perfume bottle. Everything was so gorgeous: the gowns, the skirts, everything. The Gatsby displays were incredible, too. They even had a fountain for Princess Diana with her engagement ring she was about to get when she and her about to be fiance died. This store was breathtaking all around!
We left Harrods even more excited about The Great Gatsby which we don't get to see till like the 16th since we are in Europe. We are dying!!! We walked across the street to Top Shop which was a bad idea. This is one of the cutest stores I have ever seen. It was on more of the expensive side but the clothing, shoes, and such in this store were worth it. I got a bathing suit, high waisted black bottoms and an adorable mint green top. I am in love with it and cannot wait till summer to wear it! I also tried on some cute shoes but stayed strong and did not buy any. My very strong love of shoes made this hard, but I did it. We decided we will definitely be returning to this gorgeous store. It was nine by the time we left and got back to the flat at about 9:45pm. We made dinner and Ali burned her fingers pretty bad, so we were up for a while longer. So much for going to bed early! We definitely had a bright and early morning ahead of us.
I had to add these photos from the Tube ride home because I love them. I especially love the first one! They were trying to have a straight face, but were not really succeeding. They finally did it in the second photo. The point of this photo was because I felt like the outcast of the group because I didn't have lipstick and a high bun like them. It was like we were the girls in Mean Girls and I forgot to wear pink on pink day.
