Today was a great day just like every other day has been! I seriously have not had a bad day. I don't think it is possible in this beautiful city. This morning we headed over to the Victoria & Albert Museum which was only a 15 minute walk from our flat. I was so excited because Victoria and Albert, as you know, are my favorite. ever. Now the museum did not have their stuff or anything in it which I was sad about, but they did create it which is adorable! I would love to open a museum with my husband and name it after us. The museum was so interesting! There were so many different sections. There was fashion, modern home stuff, Chinese history, Japanese history, jewelry and my favorite, theater and performance. We stayed there for three hours! There was just so much to see.
^^^Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth!
^^^Mr. Bingley and Mr. Collins!
^^^So much museum!
^^^ Costume from the play "Rhinoceros"
^^^Shakespeare's First Folio
^^^Outfit lead singer of Coldplay wore!
^^^The Lion King costumes
After the museum, we headed back to the flat for lunch as we usually do. We then decided we should probably go and get tickets for "Singing In the Rain." We got to the box office and found out the computers were down, so we had to come back in 30 minutes. We walked around a bit and even walked through the London China Town.
^^^Funny story: Those are two missionaries teaching a girl! Us Mormons are everywhere.I love it :)
We decided it had been long enough, so we headed back to the theater. We got to the box office and got 3 tickets that are usually 85 pounds each for only 25 pounds each! My seat was front row. I say we got a pretty good deal. After we got our tickets, we decided to head over to Borough Market for dinner. We hopped on the tube. Sad day, though, because Borough Market was closed....SO we went to Wagamama's instead! It was so delicious. It was fancier than I thought it would be. I was expecting Panda Express, but it was so much more. I am so happy Tessa told us about it. We then went to Starbucks for a dessert drink (I got white hot chocolate) and read for our Shakespeare class.
We got to the theater and headed straight to our seats. I was so excited for this show! I knew it would be a fun and entertaining one. I wish more than anything my sister could have been there with me. I know this is her favorite and she would have died with happiness with how amazing this show was. I have not had this much fun at a show in the longest time. It has such a great story with ridiculously amazing dancing and singing. It was also incredible how they had actual rain! Like it was raining on the stage and Don danced in it and at the end the entire cast danced in it!!! I was front row so I got soaking wet when they splashed us like 20 times. I was laughing so hard because I was having so much fun. This show just made me feel so good about life. I don't really know why! I totally lost myself in this show. We staged door after and got the signatures of four of the cast members: Don, Lina, Cosmo, and Cathy! I loved every second of this show. We headed back to the flat after the show and headed to bed. Our number of shows seen is at 11 shows. I am so blessed to be getting to see so much incredible theater. I love it so much and can never imagine not having theater and acting be a part of my life. It makes me so happy.
^^^At intermission right after the rain song! We are soaking wet.
^^^This amazing man played Cosmo!
