I cannot believe that this is the last Monday I will spend in London. Such a sad thought! I miss this incredible city already. So I woke up pretty early on this fine morning and walked my huge red suitcase to the tube to meet my mom so she could take it back to the states for me. I met up with my beautiful momma, walked her down, and watched her pull away on the tube. It was such a lovely weekend with her! I just lover her so very much. It was also her birthday! One year older for Momma! Once I was sure mom was on her way, I headed for class. I made a stop at Starbucks to get myself prepped for my English final. The final wasn't too bad. We just had to analyze a few quotes and write a paper on "As You Like It" which was no problem because I adore that show. We finished the final pretty quickly and headed back to the flat for a little. I got on Pottermore to sort myself since we are going to the Harry Potter Experience tomorrow and guess what house I got sorted into! Slytherin!! I was so flippin' excited :)
After a while, Tessa and I decided we should probably go and try to get tickets to "Mission Drift." We got to the Shed at The National Theater and luckily they had tickets. We got our 12 pound tickets and decided to go to a vintage store we had heard about called Blitz. It was pretty far out there but we were excited. We had to walk a good amount of distance when we got off the tube, but we finally arrived. It was a pretty awesome store. A little overwhelming because it was so big! I did not end up buying anything, though, but I am happy I got to see the awesome store. We also saw some sweet street art on our way back to the tube!
^^I love old cars way too much!
We had had a pretty early morning so we decided to go to the flat to take a nap before the show tonight. It was lovely! When we woke up we headed over to the Globe real fast to see if they had any return tickets for "Taming of the Shrew," but they did not....sad day. We walked along the river over to this awesome burrito truck. I seriously got the most delicious burrito I have ever tasted. The pulled pork was devine!
We finished our dinner and walked over to the Shed. The Shed is a temporary theater the National Theater has added while their third theater is under construction. It is a really cool space. "Mission Drift" was so incredible! It was about Capitalism and the American demand for expansion and what that has done to the country. It was a thinker. There was also music in it that was gorgeous! Gah! I just really loved it. After the show, the actors came out to the bar to talk to the audience and stuff. Tessa and I went out and waited for a bit but they hadn't come out yet so we said if they didn't come out by 10:40 then we would leave. Luckily at like 10:39 two of the actresses came out and got up the courage and walked over to them to tell them what an amazing job they did! One of them just kind of turned and started talking to someone, but the other started talking to me and was so gracious. She was awesome. Then she turned to get a drink and started talking to this other guy so I figured she was done talking to me, so Tessa and I left. We were just out the door when she popped out the door and was like "I'm not done talking to you!" I could not believe she chased after me. I totally thought she didn't want to talk to me anymore, but I was wrong. She was so awesome and one of the nicest people I have ever met. I love it when actors are so personal. I hope to be like them one day. I told her I was going to NYC this summer and she told me about a show she is going to be in there and gave me her email so I could let her know when I was coming. Crazy!!! I'm so excited! It was such an incredible night.
