London Life: Day 41

Today was Momma's last day here in London with me and my last Sunday here in London. It is so sad to say that. I don't want to leave, but am excited to be getting back to my friends and family back in the States. On this lovely Sunday, mom came to my flat for a little and we sat and talked with my roommate Tessa. Then we headed to church at the Hyde Park Ward. When we finished with church, Mom and I walked in the rain to The Orangery in Hyde Park. Mom's birthday is tomorrow, so she wanted to have the real afternoon tea experience for her birthday. Since it is Father's Day, we weren't sure how packed it was going to be, but luckily we didn't even have to wait in a line. We got right in and got to sit in this adorable couch area with big windows. Mom and I took our time eating and drinking tea and just had a lovely time. We both finished our pots of tea and food and the waiter brought us out another pot of tea to enjoy while talked. I loved it and I loved spending time with my beautiful Momma.

^^Mom's favorite: the scones and clotted cream!

^^Stopped at Kensington Palace of course!

We finished at tea and headed back to my flat. I had to go to a fireside, so Mom stayed at my flat and skyped with Dad. I wish so badly he could have been there too. When we finished at the fireside, Mom, me and the roommates headed to Byrons to get some good old hamburgers and milk shakes. It was so fun to hang out with mom and the roommates. We had a great time with some great food (and attractive waiters!). We finished our food and walked back to the flat. Mom helped me back up a suitcase that she is taking home for me and then I walked her back to her hostel. It was sad to say goodbye, but luckily I will be seeing her soon! Today was such an amazing day with my beautiful Momma!

I also wanted to add to this post a shout out to my Dad since it is Father's Day! I love my Popi so much and am grateful everyday to be able to call him Dad. My Dad is the most kind, caring, intelligent, loving, sarcastic, hilarious, and marvelous man in the world. I have never known am man who loves his family more. He would do absolutely anything for us and that is what makes him a truly amazing father. I would be lost without him. He keeps me on the right path and pushes me to follow my dreams no matter what. I love you, Dad! Thank you for everything. He's been there for me from Day 1 and I know he always will be.
