London Life: Day 40

Today was a full day with Mama! We had to fit in all my favorite things. We had an early morning because we wanted to get tickets to the amazing show "The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Nighttime." I had to have my mom see this amazingness! We woke up at 6:30 and got to the theater at 7:15am. We were the first ones there and no one else showed up till like 7:45, but it was worth it for the seats we got! We sat there till 10am and got some Starbucks and McDonalds to get us through. After we got our perfect seats. We went back to my flat to shower and actually get ready for the day then we went to Portobello Road! I love that place. It has amazing food and great shopping. The first thing we did was go down and get Chicken Paella. I'm so happy that mom loved it! We walked around a bit and I got my adorable blue tea cup with two little plates. I also got a vintage 1940s drawing of Winnie the Pooh. Don't judge me! Winnie the Pooh was my thing when I was little and I still love it. If you saw the drawing, you would understand. On our way back to the tube mom and I got a delicious lemon and creme cheese cupcake. Oh my, it was good!

^^Mom rockin' the Michael Jackson look!

^^My middle name is grace so naturally I took a picture!

It was pouring rain while we were at Portobello Market, so we headed back to my flat to dry off before heading out again. When we were nice and dry, we walked out of the flat and ran into my roommates who had just gotten some super cute clothes at H&M so we decided to stop there and got some super cute things. We finished shopping and headed for Borough Market. I was so excited to show mom this adorable market! We got to the market and it was closing.....all the shops were packing up their tents. I wanted to cry! Mom was so excited to try all the food there and she wasn't going to be able to. I felt so awful, but my mom being the amazing person that she is, stayed positive and we went to Wagamama's instead. I am so glad momma loved! We finished dinner, headed to Tesco for some goodies, and went to the theater for Curious Incident. We had front row seats and I was a little nervous about that. A lot of cool technical things happen on the stage and were weren't going to be able to see that, but it was still an incredible, perfect show! Momma loved it, too. That show is seriously breathtaking. The acting, technicals, and just everything is perfect and mom agreed. I am so glad she got to see it. I have dragged my mom to some weird shows and she has been a good sport about it, so I am so happy to take her to ones that she loves. The coolest thing about sitting front row is that you came see the actors faces and emotions so clearly. It is incredible. The actors can also see you during the curtain call and give you smile when stand up for them. After the show, we waited by the stage door to try and meet the guy who played Christopher, but he never came out so we headed home.
We did get to meet the teacher, though, and she recognized us from the front row. So cool! I walked momma to her hostel and then headed home. It was such a perfect day!

^^Freakin' awesome street performer!

A little extra: Here is a trailer for RSC's performance of "As You Like It" Such a beautiful video! I'm sorry it's a little late, but enjoy.

Watch this too! This is actual footage from the ending scene in the show.
