"The human mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original shape"
-Oliver Wendall Holmes
This is a quote from class today that I really loved. This is basically my motto for London! This trip has seriously changed my life and I will never go back to who I was. So, obviously, we had class today and after class we headed back to the flat for lunch. Crazy enough, I was actually craving tortellini. I couldn't believe it. When we finished up, we headed to the Gloucester Tube stop so some of the roomies could renew their oyster card. We did that and then got on the tube to South Kensington, got off, and went up to the bus to the puppet show, "Fowl Play." We got to the bus stop and our professor, Brett, and his family were standing there. It was fun to ride the bus and talk with them. We got to the puppet show which was on a barge. It was kind of ghetto looking, I'm not going to lie. It was really cool, though! It was a puppet show for children so the story was really simple, but the puppetry was so beautiful. It was just our group in the tiny little theater and it was so much fun. I did get a little sleepy in the beginning, but I got a chocolate bar at interval and was great for the second half!

^^Walked by this beautiful building
^^River our boat did NOT float down. We just stayed in port for some reason....kind of lame.
^^We weren't really sure what to expect...
^^Throwing it back to the middle school selfies!
^^Interval treat
When we finished with the puppet show, Tessa, McKenzie, and I headed over to London Hilton with three other girls from our group for afternoon tea. This was chocolate afternoon tea. All the treats were chocolate! I got a fruity tea and it was great. The second tea pot I got was Silver Needle and it was not so great. The scones were delicious with the clotted cream, jam, and chocolate spread. The sandwiches were okay. I'm not a huge fan of all the fancy sandwiches. Just give me a dang peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The desserts were something else. All chocolate! Even the top tear itself was made of chocolate. I felt so sick when we finished. I didn't think I would make it to the theater! It was a lovely afternoon with the ladies.
^^felt so fancy using this thing!
^^Ate every single one, even the salmon and shrimp one. Mom would be proud!
^^Lovely girls!
^^Gold on the chocolate cake
^^We were acting real classy
^^Sugar shot!
^^No we did not actually drink it.
^^All chocolate...
^^ Cute to-go carrier!
We hurried our full little booties over to the Rose theater for "The Alchemist." It was a very interesting theater! It was tiny. The stage was on the balcony that looks over the actual rose theater that is being excavated. It was really cool. The show was interesting as well. It is in Shakespearean language, but it was written by Ben Johnson. I didn't know anything about the plot or story before hand so it was pretty hard to understand what was going on sometimes, but I enjoyed in none the less. We got out of the show at 9:30pm and it was just starting to get dark. It was so gorgeous, so we took some pictures before heading back to the flat to head to bed. Portobello Road tomorrow! I'm excited :)
^^The Rose! They had the outline of the theater in red lights to show where is would have been.
^^Tessa pointing out the creepy thing in the corner. We never did figure out what that was...
^^Quality.
^^I love these girls!
